		<description>Another way to get rid of the worthless go button is to go to the "about:config" page and find the Preference Name "browser.urlbar.hideGoButton".  Set it's value to true by double clicking it.

There is a wealth of settings in this area, just be careful - it's kind of like editing your registry: it can be fun and you can set customize a great deal of settings, but it can be dangerous.
