		<description>The reason they don't give out the company name and so forth is because they are recruiters-- they get money if you get hired through them.  Otherwise you could just go directly to the company and apply once you found-out the name, thereby eliminating the "middle man" who then wouldn't get a fee.

I also think it has to do with the burn rate of the employer.  I can name at least a couple of places on my "would never work for" list that always seemingly have jobs open even though it doesn't explicitly show their name.   Well, that's just a crappy theory, they probably think burning through employees is a normal occurrence and that it's not their fault.</description>
