Just happened to me, too... same set of emails. I think they fixed the "appologise" spelling error, but the other grammar mistakes are still there. eBay also automatically refunded the fees associated with listing it, so the only annoying thing is that I have to manually relist it.

Man I also just got hit with a Buy It Now scam. I agree that had it not been for a little technical experience and and wondering of why they would pay an extra $200 for shipping I probably would have lost my ebay item and all. Thanks buddy for posting this up to help others confirm that these guys are ghey. Maybe i'll get a little creative with this one as well.

Several years ago when I was trying to sell my motorcycle, I decided to put it on eBay after having a good experience buying a car on there. Some ballsac went and did "buy it now" on 20-30 motorcycles including mine, so I had to relist it which wasn't cheap. Ultimately the bidding didn't meet my reserve price, but I negotiated with the highest bidder over e-mail and he came from Minnesota to pick it up in person (which was very similar to what happened when I bought a car on eBay).

Never again will I put anything on eBay with "Buy It Now". Otherwise I've had pretty good luck with it and have bought and sold numerous things for 8-9 years on there. If anything it seems like a good place to get leads for someone looking for something specific no matter what the item is.
