Vegas is not for the faint of heart or the short of pocket; but if you know how to do it, it's one of the most entertaining cities on the planet. I absolutely agree with you on gambling. Poker is the only game where you can win. Having said that, you should learn craps and play for a while at a fun table. It's pretty damn fun, even though you are a clear underdog. Note to the woman at the roulette table: Roulette provides the worst odds in the casino for the player (best for the house). Professional gamblers consider it to be the biggest sucker game there is. Next time go with someone who knows the town. Go see a show & eat at a nice restaurant, not a buffet. I love Vegas. Only been there once, but am going back in a few months. I don't gamble or drink, either. Last time I was there for a conference, so I didn't have a lot of time to see the sights. This time I'm doing my research before going, and I'm just amazed at how many things there are to do, and most of the ones we are planning to do are free or very inexpensive. So yes there are many things to do in vegas besides drink and gamble, but you have to look around a little bit for them. This time I might get up enough courage to try a table game once, too. Bummer!
